I think it's safe to say I've neglected my DA page. Haven't even done one of these journal entries since 2007.

SO.... I'm uploading some stuff I've worked on here and there. Of course I need to do more, working on some ideas now.

Been a rough year, it's almost over. Hopefully next year I'll be more motivated.

So I haven't written in months... Been a little busy. Ok, been a lot busy. I'm working at Laika, the only place I wanted to work the whole time I was in school. It's incredible. I'm working on a movie they're making called Coraline. You can read about it on IMDB, look it up if you have time. I can't really talk about what I'm doing there because I'm sworn to secrecy but it's a lot of fun. It's due for release late next year. I'll be in the credits!

In other news... In about 2 weeks I'll be giving people even more reason to doubt my age. I already get a lot of people giving me "yeah right" faces when I tell them I'm 28... Soon they'll accuse me of being 16 instead of 19.

I'm getting braces.

I made the appointment today for the first step in the land of metal mouth. I go in next Wed. to have pics taken and more xrays and a bite mold. Then the following week you'll all be able to call me "brace face". I'm not doing it to make my teeth look better. I actually think my front teeth look ok. It's the back molars that are messing me up. I've been having jaw problems for a very long time and we're hoping that by correcting my bite it will ease some of the pain I'm having. I'm only getting the top teeth done at first, he wants to do it all in stages because of my jaw. Apparently it takes a couple hours to put in a full set of braces, so he wants to do the top, then take a break for about a month, then do the bottom. So it looks like I'll have the whole set up by Halloween.

Should be an adventure. I've heard braces suck. I plan on blogging about it, I may post progress pics or something, updates...

So the fact that I'm graduating in less than three weeks just became small potatoes.

As the days grow nearer my heart beats faster. Although now I'm about to have a damn heart attack. My life changed yesterday thanks to a simple phone call...

The phone rang around 3:30 or so... Wendy Fisher was on the other end, a very nice lady from school whom I've known for a while through the Honor's Society. She was calling to inform me that I've been nominated by staff and other important people at school to speak on behalf of the entire graduating class at the ceremony.

Oh.          My.         God.

That's all I could say. I was literally tongue tied. I could say NOTHING. It's a good thing I was sitting because I probably would have tipped over. I can't believe it. Still. A day later and my head is still spinning.

So if I wasn't freaked out enough about graduating, I sure as hell am now. So if you see me in the next few weeks and I'm a little crazed... You know why. If I tip over and pass out just kindly prop me against a corner or something, I'll be fine.

So if anyone actually reads this and would like to see me try and entertain a few hundred people with some witty words, come to the ceremony. Friday, March 23rd, 4pm at the Governor's Hotel in Portland. I'd love to see you.

Ok so I'm graduating in three months!!!  This has been a long, stressful journey and it feels good to be at the final stretch. Here it is almost 2:30 in the morning and I'm wide awake. I've been enjoying the long awaited Christmas break from school, staying up late and sleeping in (on days I don't have to be at work).

So when I return in January it will be my very last term of college! I've busted my ass, lost sleep, stressed out, crammed, starved, cried, laughed, screamed, threw fits, pulled straight A's (three times, thank you!) and what do I have to show? Battle scars and some kick ass artwork! I hope to get a job here in Portland as a stop motion animator or a character modeler for stop motion... I'd also love to work as a Flash animator or background artist. I have learned so much this past 3 1/2 years, accomplished things I never thought I could do. I will be retiring my DA account soon, I am hoping to get a personal website up and running in the next month or so- so I will be posting my work there instead. If anyone is interested on visiting when I get it done, let me know and I will give you the URL.

So now that I finally have some free time on my hands, I will slowly be posting LONG PAST DUE entries for all to see... I just posted three photographs of some clay models I did recently. More to come guys...

Oh yeah... MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

So I haven't done anything on here in ages it seems.  I've been so busy slaving over school and work and internships...  My plate is not only full but it's overflowing!  

Time is passing by ridiculously fast, I'll be graduating in less than 7 months.  Not exactly sure that I'm ready for that but I still have some time to figure everything out.  Next Sunday marks one year that my sweetie Jeff and I have been together... Another example of time flying by.  Guess it IS true, time DOES fly when you're having fun.   

So I pretty much just got tired of looking at that last retarded journal entry I posted and had to put something new there.  I'll be posting some new pics soon and I have some Flash illustrations I can add so I'll try and be a little more loyal from now on.  

Not too sure what I think about the new page layouts here, will take some getting used to.  Looks purdy though (and safe) with all the nice rounded corners everywhere.
